Gender Affirming Forensic Assessments

Dr. Sebastian Rilen discusses gender diversity in the context of forensic evaluation. We discuss available resources to clinicians that provide guidance but note that these are clinical in nature and there is little written about how to consider these issues in the forensic context. Dr. Rilen provides advice for how to address gender identity during the forensic interview and in the written report. We also discuss psychological testing with gender diverse people and considerations for test selection and interpretation.
