Bias In Forensic Evaluations

Dr. Daniel Murrie describes the concept of adversarial allegiance in forensic mental health evaluations. We discuss the studies that have demonstrated these effects and which measures have shown these effects. The concept of field reliability and its potential relationship to adversarial allegiance is addressed. Lastly, we discuss potential strategies forensic clinicians can employ in order to mitigate bias.
